All the yummy ingredients!
How to cook Lemon Mojito
Start, run to the store and grab any ingredients you may be lacking. This recipe calls for the following; 4-5 oranges, 1 lemon, sugar, mint and basil leaves. I assume you already have the Rum 😉
Fresh-squeezed oranges and lemons make for such a crisp, bangin’ flavor. Of course you can use orange juice and lemon juice if you prefer. Slice em in half and start the process of juicing.
Just using a simple, hand juicer. I stopped once it was filled it up to the top.
Chopped and pressed the Basil and Mint leafs.
Press and chop.
I suggest pressing the basil and mint before you chop. To press the leafs, take a spoon or knife and press down on the leafs on the cutting board. This releases a crazy amount of flavor and will fill your kitchen with a fresh scent. Then chop to fine pieces. Here’s another recipe with lots of fresh herbs and spice Thyme, Cinnamon & Nutmeg Sweet Potato Fries.
I used a stack full of old jello shot containers that I never used. I then poured in the the mix. I cut BBQ skewers (kabob sticks) into small sizes. I then used two per Popsicle so that it would be easier to hold once frozen. Placed in freezer for an hour or so.

We did it! We spent two amazing weeks in Scotland, Ireland and Italy. Even though two of the three countries primary language was English, the culture shock was still there. I’m writing this post to share with you my favorite meals in each country. As they say in Ireland, “Sláinte”, or cheers! Here’s the book […]
A lemon mojito is a refreshing drink made with lime, mint, sugar, and white rum. It is typically served over ice and makes a great thirst quencher on a hot day.
There is some debate over whether or not mojitos traditionally contain lemon. Some say that the tart citrus flavor is essential to the drink, while others believe that lime is the only necessary citrus flavor. Ultimately, it is up to the individual bartender or drinker to decide whether or not to include lemon in their mojito.
Yes, you can use lemon in place of lime in cocktails. However, keep in mind that the flavor profile of lemon is different than lime, so the cocktails will taste different too. Limes are tart and acidic, while lemons are sweeter and more acidic. So if you’re looking for a cocktail that tastes like a classic lime Margarita, you may want to stick with lime. But if you’re looking for a new flavor profile, lemon can be a great option.
There is no hard and fast answer to this question as it depends on personal preference. Some people believe that lemons are a better option for mojitos than limes, while others prefer limes. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide which citrus fruit they prefer in their mojito.
